M.D (Doctor of Medicine)
Biology, Chemistry and Science (Lower Secondary)
In school, I used to be the person breaking down complex information in a simplified for my friends. My first job after SPM was a short 6 months as a Chemistry tutor. To my disbelief, my teaching methods actually made my student’s grade leap from an F to a C.
But most importantly my student started liking Chemistry which to me was the biggest achievement. At one point in life, I was longing to experience this moment of fulfilment again hence the reason why I switched paths from medicine to teaching.
Besides the teaching routine, I’m also involved in counseling parents and students alike on challenges that they’re facing. This includes new parents who are interested in our program whereby I get an opportunity to listen to their problems and see what Pasxcel is able to offer in return.
There is definitely no one-size-fits-all education system as I believe it needs to be tailor made according to the student’s interest and capabilities. But of course there are compulsory pillars that need to be present in every student’s education journey.
Academic excellence alone will not suffice in this fast paced ever changing world. A great education will birth individuals with knowledge on philosophy, financial management, physical and mental health. Above all, they will acquire the skill to analyse problems in order to form opinions of their own and not be afraid to speak up.
Pasxcel cares, nurtures and performs magic in the form of mind blowing transformations. Every student who comes to us will leave with a purpose in life.
Since our classes are never centered on the syllabus alone, we do heavily discuss global topics and this gradually changes the student’s outlook on life, perception of worldly issues and hone their judgement which will in return train them to make decisions independently.
I’m an avid music lover who can play by ear and memorize every tiny detail of music in a song. I didn’t purposely train for it but I suppose being exposed to a variety of music since the age of 4 did contribute to this skill.
I’m formally trained for Veenai which is an Indian classical music instrument plus I picked up guitar and piano on my own. Besides listening to my renditions of classics and pop songs, my family and friends are also a fan of my baked goods!
In my free time, I love trying out new cake and pastry recipes as it’s not easy to get a vegan recipe right the first time! Whenever students ask me why they are learning Science or Math, I always use the two of my hobbies above as an example to explain its importance.
