One in five teens and young adults lives with a mental health condition. Half of them develop the condition by age 14, but too often their problems go undetected and untreated. Globally, depression is one of the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents.
Hence, we believe this topic would be an eye opener to both parents and teachers, to educate them on how to tackle this issue among the teens before it is too late. We are glad to have Ms. Dharshanna, who is a Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counselling, to give us a clearer picture on what mental health is all about and why is it so important for us, as parent as well as educators of tomorrow to understand certain behavioral changes in these young adults who may be facing difficulties coping with stress, anxiety or even depression.
Do join us for this upcoming Live Session on our Facebook page this Friday at 9pm. It will be a very close to heart discussion where not only parents will greatly benefit from it, hopefully the general public can also learn a thing or two as some of your loved ones could also be suffering from certain mental illness that you may have overlooked. Let’s build more awareness surrounding this topic and do invite your friends and family to watch our live event as well. See you then!
